Defcon badges go high tech
Saturday, Aug 5th, 2006   |  Read the Full Article

THE NEW DEFCON badges are designed to be cool and to, as always, thwart the guy who counterfeits them no matter what they look like. This year, they went high tech, ICs, LEDs, and a logo cut right out of the PCB. They built 6055 of them at a cost of under $5 per badge, with a design goal of being a true bitch to counterfeit as well as have a battery that lasts at least as long as Defcon itself.
